Howdy AMP families and students, The following are important events and happenings for the week of April 18th. Upcoming Events
2022 AMP Livestock Expo Species Breakout Sessions - Tuesday, April 19th The AMP Livestock Expo is a platform where AMP students can gain knowledge and experience in actual production agriculture through the raising and exhibiting of a livestock animal. The possibility of raising a livestock project (goats, lambs, rabbits, or swine) is a fantastic way to get hands on skills in agriculture and is one of many ways a student can meet the goal of having a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) project in the AMP. The AMP staff will be sharing information about the opportunity to raise and exhibit a livestock animal at the 2022 AMP Livestock Expo (generally known as the JV livestock program) through individual breakout sessions for goats, lambs, rabbits, and swine from 7:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, April 19th in the AMP Complex. Students and parents/guardians will be able to attend two breakout sessions of their choice that evening. An informational presentation about the AMP Livestock Expo and all necessary documents are now posted on the AMP Livestock Expo website (https://amplivestockexpo.weebly.com). Students and parents/guardians should view the informational presentation prior to attending the species breakout sessions on April 19th. 2023 Major Show Swine Projects If a student is interested in learning more about raising and exhibiting a swine project for the 2023 major shows, Ms. Molitor is hosting an interest meeting for students and their parent/guardian on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 6:00PM in AG141.
