Howdy AMP families and students, The following are important events and happenings for the week of March 29th. Upcoming Events
2021-2022 James Madison FFA Chapter Officer Application The James Madison FFA Chapter is looking for dedicated and hard-working students to serve as chapter officer for the 2021-2022 school year. Each year the chapter officer team plans and implements chapter events and encourages members to participate. In order to be considered for chapter officer, there is a series of steps one should complete. Students interested in becoming a chapter officer must join the following Google Classroom: https://classroom.google.com/c/Mjk3OTgzNjk1NzQz?cjc=rxvhgk4. The Google Classroom will contain all information and deadlines pertaining to the chapter officer application process. Should students have any questions, they should reach out to Mr. Baker at [email protected]. April JM FFA Booster Club General Meeting - Tuesday, April 6, 2021 The next monthly meeting of the FFA Booster Club will be Tuesday, April 6th at 6:30pm via Zoom. All parents/guardians of AMP students are encouraged to join us online for the Booster Club meeting. A major agenda item for the April meeting is the election of the 2021-2022 Executive Board for the FFA Booster Club. 2021 AMP Livestock Expo Virtual Informational Presentation - Tuesday, April 20th The AMP staff will be providing an on-demand virtual informational presentation on Tuesday, April 20th to share with you about the voluntary opportunity to raise and exhibit a livestock animal at the 2021 AMP Livestock Expo (generally known as the JV livestock program). We will be sharing this information through a virtual presentation that you can access on demand. We will post the presentation on our AMP Livestock Expo website (https://amplivestockexpo.weebly.com) by 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20th and send an email communication with a direct link. The AMP Livestock Expo is a platform where AMP students can gain knowledge and experience in actual production agriculture through the raising and exhibiting of a livestock animal. The possibility of raising a livestock project (i.e. - goats, rabbits, sheep, or swine) is a fantastic way to get hands on skills in agriculture and is one of many ways a student can meet the goal of having a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) project in the AMP. Therefore, it is highly recommended any student interested in raising and exhibiting a livestock project for the 2021 AMP Livestock Expo watch the virtual presentation with their parent/guardian. Again, the presentation will be posted on our website by 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20th. 2022 Major Show Goat Projects If a student is interested in learning more about raising and exhibiting a goat project for the 2022 major shows, please complete the following form: https://forms.gle/vEJFyca6KYAgN71T9. Mrs. Leita will be providing information specific to raising and exhibiting goat projects for the 2022 major shows to those students that complete the form.
