AMP Happenings for the Week of May 11th

Howdy AMP families and students,

The following are important events and happenings for the week of May 11th.

2020 North East Ag Fair Livestock Show Informational Presentation
Information is now available on our website for students that are interested in raising and exhibiting a livestock animal at the 2020 North East Ag Fair Livestock Show. The deadline to commit to a livestock and submit a $50 deposit is on May 22nd from 11:00am to 1:00pm or 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Please check the webpage above for other deadlines and informational resources.

AMP End of the Year and Senior Tribute Slideshows
​A yearly tradition that AMP students look forward to are the video slideshows that are an important part of our AMP Awards Gala. We want to keep these traditions in place and we are in need of your photos for the End of the Year (EOY) slideshow and the Senior Tribute video.

Simply submit your photos online by adding them to our Google Drive folders listed below (please do not delete photos from these folders). The deadline to submit photos is May 13th. See the flier posted below for more details.

Alamo District FFA News
Alamo District Secretary and James Madison FFA President, Ember Reyes, would like to share the video message below with all FFA Members of the Alamo District. The Alamo District FFA Convention looked very different this year but the officers want to share this recap and words of encouragement.

Guidance and Counseling News
Seniors must complete the MANDATORY Madison Senior Survey. The survey includes information on how to request your final transcript.

James Madison FFA Booster Club Scholarship Program
The 2020 James Madison FFA Booster Club Scholarship application is available now. Eligible applicants must be a graduating Senior, currently enrolled in an AMP course, and a member of the James Madison FFA.

The application deadline is May 15th, 2020, at 8:00 PM. Applications must be emailed to [email protected] by this deadline.

Students will receive a confirmation email when the application is received. If the student does not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submission, please contact Mr. Anderson at (210)834-0168.

Applications should be submitted using ONLY the MS Word document that is available by going to: https://agrisciencemagnetprogram.weebly.com/scholarship-program.html.

If students are not able to use the MS Word document or have a question, please contact Mr. Anderson.

Las Lomas Lions Alumni Scholarship
Are you a graduating Senior that attended Las Lomas Elementary? If so, you are eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship that the Las Lomas PTA is sponsoring for 2020 graduates that attended Las Lomas Elementary.
