AMP Happenings for the Week of May 4th

Howdy AMP families and students,

The following are important events and happenings for the week of May 4th.

2020 North East Ag Fair Livestock Show Informational Presentation
Information is now available on our website for students that are interested in raising and exhibiting a livestock animal at the 2020 North East Ag Fair Livestock Show. The deadline to commit to a livestock and submit a $50 deposit is on May 22nd from 11:00am to 1:00pm or 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Please check the webpage above for other deadlines and informational resources.

AMP End of the Year and Senior Tribute Slideshows
​A yearly tradition that AMP students look forward to are the video slideshows that are an important part of our AMP Awards Gala. We want to keep these traditions in place and we are in need of your photos for the End of the Year (EOY) slideshow and the Senior Tribute video.

Simply submit your photos online by adding them to our Google Drive folders listed below (please do not delete photos from these folders). The deadline to submit photos is May 13th. See the flier posted below for more details.

James Madison FFA Booster Club Scholarship Program
The 2020 James Madison FFA Booster Club Scholarship application is available now. Eligible applicants must be a graduating Senior, currently enrolled in an AMP course, and a member of the James Madison FFA.

The application deadline is May 15th, 2020, at 8:00 PM. Applications must be emailed to [email protected] by this deadline.

Students will receive a confirmation email when the application is received. If the student does not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submission, please contact Mr. Anderson at (210)834-0168.

Applications should be submitted using ONLY the MS Word document that is available by going to: https://agrisciencemagnetprogram.weebly.com/scholarship-program.html.

If students are not able to use the MS Word document or have a question, please contact Mr. Anderson.

2020 NEISD High School Summer School Announcement
Online registration for High School Summer School will begin at 8:00am on May 6, 2020 and be open until 4:30pm on June 4, 2020. This year, Summer School will be done through distance learning and only available to students currently enrolled in NEISD.

Summer School will be held in two 12-day semesters (1st Semester: June 8th - June 25th; 2nd Semester: June 29th - July 16th) with classes meeting Monday through Thursday of each week.

Attention AMP Juniors
The local San Antonio Texas A&M Prospective Student Center will be doing a ZOOM webinar for HS Juniors regarding the Freshman Admissions process to Texas A&M University. The webinar is for Prospective Applicants to answer any questions related to admissions, housing, etc. about Texas A&M. The presentation will be on Wednesday May 6th at 4:00PM.
