2019 North East Ag Fair
Everyone is cordially invited to the 9th Annual North East Ag Fair to be held on Saturday, October 26th from 8:00am to 4:00pm at the AMP Complex.

The purpose of the Ag Fair is to engage our North East community in a day full of activities showcasing the skills of students in the AMP through events such as livestock exhibition, agricultural mechanics skill-a-thon, BBQ cook-off, and a Baked Goods and Photography contest. The day will also host retail vendors and a Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume contest to ensure something for the whole family.

Besides the North East Ag Fair Livestock Show, there are several other ways that students can participate and compete during the Ag Fair: "The Fastest Torch in the West" Contest, Ag Mechanics Build-Off Contest, BBQ Cook-Off Competition, Baked Goods Contest, and Agriculture Photography Contest. Entry forms and information about these contest opportunities for all students can be found on the AMP website at http://agrisciencemagnetprogram.weebly.com/north-east-ag-fair.html.

The FFA Booster Club is also putting out an ALL CALL to interested retail vendors that would like to sell their goods and/or services at the 2019 Ag Fair. So if you or someone you know would like to be a vendor, attached is a retail vendor registration packet with details about this opportunity and a registration form.

Meet the Madison Family Specialist
My name is Veronica Villegas and I am the Family Specialist at Madison High School. I started my journey as a NEISD Family Specialist in 2013. I want to share a little bit about my background. I have a B.A. in Psychology, M.A. in Guidance and Counseling and my M.Ed. in Special Education. Licensed Professional Counselor, this means that I am completing 3,000 to obtain my permanent license through the state (Supervised by Dr. Christie Melonson, LPC-S License #63872).

I have worked in the social services field since 2006.  For more than 8 years, I have worked in an educational setting providing services for students, parents and teachers. I have had the opportunity to work with families all over San Antonio, providing Medicaid education, parenting education, case management and college readiness support. I have 4 years of experience working with an evidence-based behavioral model that addressed both prevention and intervention strategies for families and their children.

I organize and provide ongoing classes and workshops for the Madison Family Engagement Leadership Academy.  I will also help organize and implement various events for the students and their families. In addition, I coordinate a variety of programs and services for our families. Click HERE to check out the Madison Family Specialist website for more information.
