He comes to the position of AMP Farm Manager with nearly four decades of experience in agriculture with emphasis in livestock production and management. Mr. Fuller can be contacted by phone at (210) 356-1415 or email at [email protected]. Distracted Drivers We have received a number of concerns in just the past week alone regarding students and parents texting while driving on the AMP Complex and narrowly causing an accident. All drivers (parents, guardians, students) are reminded that the speed limit on the AMP Complex is 10 MPH. Drivers should be attentive when driving in and around the livestock project centers for pedestrian traffic and should only park vehicles in appropriate parking areas. Also, please stay to the right of the circular roadway between the swine and goat project centers when entering and exiting the livestock project centers. 2021-2022 James Madison FFA Dues One of the expectations for every AMP student is to be an active participant in the AMP. North East Ag Fair Sponsorship Committee The North East Ag Fair Sponsorship Committee is looking for individuals to join us as we begin searching for sponsorships for the 2022 North East Ag Fair. Last year, we helped secure $20,000 worth of donations that went directly back to our students. We would love to grow that number, but need more volunteers to help us out. We meet briefly monthly between October and December to touch base. Outside of the meetings, we call/visit local businesses to find and secure sponsorships. To volunteer to serve on this impactful committee, click on the following link: https://tinyurl.com/NEAgFairSponsorshipCommittee. If you need more information, you may contact the chairpersons for this committee who are Heather Gafke and Katina Wright. Business and Family Sponsorship Opportunities

They will be teaching various courses throughout the semester and working with AMP students in FFA competition. Please help make them feel welcomed and below is some information each of them wished to share with our AMP families and students. Ms. Knaggs "My name is Mae Knaggs and I attend Texas A&M University in pursuit of an Agricultural Science degree. I currently student-teach at James Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas. I was born and raised in the Hill Country and growing up, I was active in my local 4-H program and showed swine through my senior year in the FFA. It wasn't until the FFA that I found my passion for agriculture and wanted to know more about what I could take from it. In the FFA, I lead as Chapter President, continued to show swine, and participated in a variety of teams, both LDEs and CDEs. I was High-Point Individual in both the Wildlife and Agronomy State CDE contests, and got the opportunity to go to Indianapolis to compete in the National Agronomy contest. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and learning from others as well. I am anticipating the opportunity to work with others and cultivate an interest in agriculture among young adults." Ms. Tully "Howdy! My name is Brianna Tully. I am a senior Agricultural Science major at Texas A&M University and Student-Teacher here at Madison High School. I was raised in Saint Hedwig, TX, a small town about 30 minutes outside San Antonio. My interest in agriculture began with my involvement on the meat evaluation team for our local 4-H program in 6th grade. I then became involved in the East Central Agricultural Education program and FFA chapter, where I was involved for all four years of my high school career. I was on the Meats Evaluation and the Agriculture Issues Forum teams. My senior year, I was the 2nd High Individual at the state contest for meats, and I won the National Contest the following October. During my time in 4-H and FFA, I experienced raising rabbits, chickens, turkeys, hogs, and steers. My passion for teaching grew when I worked with my high school agriculture teacher to train new meat judging teams and worked with the freshman class. Finally, my interests lay in the area of Food Production Systems." Guidance and Counseling News Mrs. Suarez is now located in her counseling office in the AMP building. Students may request to see her by asking their AMP teacher when attending their AMP course. Schedule Changes
